IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. A New Instructor (2-Day Training) is someone who has never been a Certified Instructor through the Georgia Department of Driver Services and/or someone who is a Certified Instructor through the Georgia Department of Driver Services for LESS than a one (1) year (365 days or less) period.
2. An Existing Instructor (1-Day Training) is someone who has been a Certified Instructor through the Georgia Department of Driver Services for MORE than a one (1) year period (366 days or more). You must send in a copy of your Georgia Department of Driver Services teaching license with your application. If we do not receive a copy of your teaching license, you will have to attend the 2-day training and pay for the 2-day training.
3. While attending the Instructor Training at DeKalb DUI School, Inc., please remember you are in a private business, and you will not approach any clients entering this business. You are not allowed in areas of the school that are off-limits and so marked by either a sign or a closed door. You will not vandalize the facility, and you will be expected to leave your seating area as clean as it was prior to your arrival.
4. While attending the Instructor Training, you must arrive at least thirty (30) minutes prior to the beginning of each class session of the training. If you are late, you will not be allowed to begin or complete the training. DEOG requires all Programs and Instructors utilizing the DEOG Program to follow the same Rules and Regulations as listed in 375-5-1-.13 and 375-5-6.13 General Program Instructor Responsibilities.
5 If you violate numbers 3 or 4, you will be asked to leave the DEOG Instructor Training, and your training fees will not be refunded.

7. Please do not stop by North Georgia DUI School, Inc. This is a private school, and we are too busy dealing with our Clients.
8. Do not call Cindy's school, cell phone, or home phone at any time. You can reach her at [email protected].
Renee has been handling the Member Services for Cindy since June 2021. You can reach Renee at or [email protected].
9. If you have a question regarding the DEOG curriculum and updates, you can email Renee at [email protected].
10. If you are interested in opening a new school, please do your homework first. Georgia is over-saturated with schools, and as a result, it is causing good schools to close and costing students additional time and money, not to mention causing them to go to jail and lose their jobs because schools are constantly canceling classes.
I tell new school owners this all the time, and they never do their homework. Then, when they have to close their school 4 to 6 months later, I get a call from a mad school owner. "Why didn't you tell me I wouldn't be holding class every week? Why didn't you tell me I shouldn't have put a school where I did? " It is not my responsibility; it is yours.
11. If you have paid for your Instructor training and you were late arriving and unable to attend the class, you will not receive a refund. If you paid for your Instructor training and decided not to attend, you can cancel your training up to 24 hours prior to the training date you are scheduled to begin, and you will be able to receive a refund.
12. If you are a school owner and you close your school, you will not be given a refund. If you are a school owner and DDS closes your Program, you will not be given a refund.
13. If you are an Instructor and DDS suspends or revokes your DI Instructor license, you will not be able to teach the DEOG curriculum, and you will not be given a refund.
14. If you send in an application with incorrect information and we have to revise your information, there will be a charge of $25.00. Please send your applications in with the same information you furnished to DDS.
Revisions will not be made until you send in a Money Order for the cost of making the revision.
15. Your Annual Instructor, Program, and Owner Dues are due no later than the 25th of July of each year. If you do not renew your Membership, you will not be able to offer and/or teach the DEOG curriculum after the 31st of July of that renewing year. If the application and payment are postmarked after July 25th, there will be a $35.00 late
fee. If you allow your Membership to lapse for over a year, you will be required to retake the Instructor Training.
16. We had a case in the early fall of 2019, when a Certified DEOG Instructor told a School Owner who was not Certified with DEOG to provide the DEOG Defensive Driving Program that they could hold a Defensive Driving Class even though they were not Certified with DEOG or DDS. The Instructor told the School Owner that as long as she (the Instructor) was Certified with DEOG, she could hold a Defensive Driving Class. Then, during their class, the Instructor told the School Owner to call Cindy (DEOG) to find out where she gets the Defensive Driving Certificates from for her class. Needless to say, she was unable to get Certificates since she was not at a DEOG-Certified School and she was not in a DDS-Certified DI Program.
After Cindy asked the School Owner what she was doing and told her what she was doing wasn’t legal, the School Owner confronted the Instructor, and the Instructor picked up her things and bolted out of the School, leaving the Students and the School Owner high and dry. So the Students were told by the School Owner to go to a Certified School and tell the School they had already completed 3 hours; they just needed the remaining 3 hours and the Certificate (this, too, was the incorrect thing for the School Owner to do)!
This is not allowed at all. None of this was legal, and none of this is allowed!!!! Only Certified DEOG Schools can offer the DEOG Defensive Driving Program, and yes, they still need a Certified DEOG/DDS DI Instructor to teach the curriculum.
School Owners, it is your responsibility to verify if something is legitimate. Do not take anyone for their word when it comes to your School, or you could jeopardize your School!
Instructors, please remember you can only teach the DEOG Curriculum out of a DEOG Certified School, and the Instructor and the School must also be a DI-Certified Program with DDS.
There are too many people out there looking to make a quick buck at your expense! So please, if you don't know if you can do something, check with DDS or Renee (DEOG) before you take someone's word for it. Don't put your Students or your Program at risk!
